The kiloWatt hour, which is also written kiloWatt-hour, (symbol kW·h, kW h) is a unit of energy. It is most commonly used on household electricity meters as the unit of energy to measure consumption, and is 1,000 watt hours. So for example if you run your 1000 Watt rated electric heater for one hour, you have used one kilo Watt Hour.
