SEANZ is reviewing a discussion paper published by the EWRB on new proposed categories of electrical registration. Included in the proposal is a new class electrical service technician for renewable energy systems and a category of Electrical Design Registration for LV systems that do not comply with Part 2 of AS/NZS 3000:2007. SEANZ is presently seeking clarification on the scope of work that is proposed for the new category of Renewable Energy System Service Technician.

SEANZ will be making a submission to the EWRB on or before the 14 July 2008 stating our preferred option and any concerns that we have about the current proposal.
