An established Northland solar designer, installer and solar consultant with a background in engineering, building and teaching.

Originally from the U.K I have lived with off-grid solar in the Brynderwyn hills (between Mangawhai, Waipu, and Maungaturoto) in Northland since 2014.

Living off-grid requires adjustments, as does living with solar power. With awareness of this the freedom and independence can be incredibly rewarding.

Kanuka Forest Solar offer bespoke off-grid solar system design, compliance, solar servicing and installation. As a business we ensure we provide only reliable, quality engineered solar systems.

I have found there are certain brands and components that stand well above the rest to perform long term. Compliance is important, as is designing and building solar to meet each unique site and each unique household.

We are located in Brynderwyn, Northland, New Zealand and currently service Mangawhai, Kaiwaka, Waipu, Maungaturoto, Paparoa and surrounding areas.
