If you seek to be part of the Aotearoa New Zealand solar PV, energy storage industry, joining SEANZ provides a huge range of benefits and value for residential, commercial and industrial and utility scale participants.
Irrespective of where you are as a stakeholder, there is a place for you in SEANZ. We represent: manufacturers, suppliers/wholesalers, installers, electricians, EPC’s, integrators and aggregators, energy consultancies, retailers, network operator/EDB’s, capital equity funders and banks, professional services providers to industry, construction businesses and prosumers.
The SEANZ maxim is: “Empower industry growth with safe, reliable solar photovoltaics (PV), battery energy storage systems (BESS), that consistently deliver and perform to expectations.”

Categories:
Sustaining Membership applies if your business is in the industry selling, designing and installing RE and related technologies.
- Tier 1 - $734.35 + GST per year is for businesses with 3 or less full-time employees.
- Tier 2 - $1,046.90 + GST per year is for businesses with for 4 - 15 full-time employees.
- Tier 3 - $2,030.07 + GST per year is for businesses with for 16 - 49 full-time employees
Please note that applications incur a one-off $150 fee.
Corporate Membership is for organisations with 50+ staff.
- Corporate membership is $5,462.07+ GST per year.
Please note that applications incur a one-off $150 fee.
Individual membership is for any interested individual or Renewable Energy system owner only who is interested in the development of the solar PV and RE space. This category does not apply to sole traders, businesses or otherwise selling or installing RE components and or systems.
- Individual Membership is $182.07 + GST per year.

USS Corporate membership
- is for organisations where Utility scale solar and BESS is a core activity and the basis of the organisation. Manufacturers, retailers, large generators shall be corporate members.
- Corporate membership enables these organisations to participate in the industry at a strategic level, helping to shape the Utility scale solar landscape and future
- Corporate membership fee is $7,987.50 + GST per year
USS Associate membership
- Associate membership is for organisations that have Utility scale solar energy and BESS as one part of their activities.
- There are 3 categories of Associate Membership:
- Tier 1 Associate:
- For organisations with more than 5 persons working in Utility scale solar energy and BESS in New Zealand. Must be a local organisation, Membership fee is $3,850.00+ GST per year
- Tier 2 Associate:
- For organisations with 5 or less persons working in Utility scale solar energy and BESS in New Zealand. Must be a local organisation, Membership fee is $2,980.00+ GST per year
- Tier 3 Associate:
- For NFP’s, councils. local authorities, trusts, landowners seeking engagement in Utility scale solar and BESS supply chain, Membership fee is $1,895.00+ GST per year
Criteria:
- Evidence of multiple MW scale work and capability in a facet of the utility scale development
- USS projects are credentialed and bankable
- Formally engaged to consult, finance, provide advice, construct and complete a MW utility-scale project or similar
- Investors and developers that have completed utility projects, in NZ and abroad
- Organisations must have NZ presence preferably with NZ domiciled director

If you are a currently registered inspector specialising or working towards specialising in sustainable energy systems you may apply to offer your services to SEANZ members. If you are an existing member there is no additional charge to be added to the register.
- Non-SEANZ members may apply for SEANZ Registered Inspector membership for an annual fee of $216.75 + GST.
Please note that applications incur a one-off $150 fee.
Examples of not-for-profit members include Councils, Energy Trusts, and other industry interest groups.
- Not-For-Profit Organisation Membership is $833.20 + GST per year.
Please note that applications incur a one-off $150 fee.
Associate member is available to an organisation associated with the renewable energy industry but not directly involved in implementation of renewable energy.
- Associate Membership is $1900.00 + GST per year.
