With the country moving up to COVID-19 Alert Level 4, the impacts on our industry and members are serious.
Last week SEANZ circulated our Response Plan. Members can access it in the Members section of our website.
The key points that all members should understand are:
Essential services that may continue to operate through this coming period, your business may be eligible. Lead agency, Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment has stated: “Any entity involved in the production, supply, sale distribution or disposal of electricity, gas, water, waste water (eg sanitation), waste (eg rubbish collection), fuel, telecommunication services, and any entity that is contracted by these entities”. Every business must establish for themselves if they fit these criteria and in the event they continue in operation must put in place alternative ways of working to keep employees safe, including shift-based working, staggered meal breaks, flexible leave arrangements and physical distancing.
