New SEANZ appointments - March 2025
SEANZ has appointed Gareth Williams to the Operations Team
Gareth has years of experience and knowledge behind him to help us, given his time with Vector in numerous roles including business intelligence and new energy solutions.
As Chief Product Officer at solarZero, he helped develop the energy as a service model, systems engineering (hardware and software) as well as serving as Chief Strategy Officer, enabling VPP’s, participating in the reserves market, working with Transpower and numerous EDB networks. Gareth is driving Innovation Pathways for SEANZ to help members understand, consider, develop innovation opportunities to add value and grow their businesses. He will also address industry impacting stuff like EDB networks new pricing regime, work with the Electricity Authority and Commerce Commissions Energy Competition Taskforce to help develop solar BESS opportunities in the wider industry.
Our next appointment to the Operations Team is industry stalwart Mark Eagles
Mark has a background as a PV/BESS installer/contractor and inspector in residential and commercial solar for well over a decade, and latterly as the all-round technical guy as Head of Engineering at solarZero.
He has been part of the SEANZ Tech Team for many years, is a member of the joint Australia and NZ renewable energy standards group EL042 for SEANZ, is one of our go to’s in the technical resolution and advice space, and he has worked closely on behalf of SEANZ and SZ with Standards NZ, Worksafe, NZ Fire Service and others. Mark will continue those duties as well as helping members on technical issues, standards and assist in the dispute resolution process.
SEANZ is delighted to have gained the invaluable expertise and experience of both Gareth and Mark as we look forward to their inputs and working with them.
