As we expand across Aotearoa, we're looking for a driven Sales Representative to own and grow our residential pipeline from Auckland.

The Role

A high-ownership, full-cycle residential sales position based in Auckland:

Drive revenue across the full residential sales cycle — from prospecting and demos through to close.

Represent the Mark1 system to homeowners across Auckland.

Translate technical battery storage and dispatch optimisation value into compelling customer outcomes.

Maintain rigorous pipeline discipline with accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene.

Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets with a data-driven approach to your sales funnel.

What You'll Do

Day-to-day responsibilities:

Own a residential sales pipeline from initial contact through to signed agreement.

Conduct virtual demos using Aotea's savings calculator and sales tools.

Educate customers on how the Mark1 dispatches stored energy against wholesale price signals — no solar needed.

Build referral pipeline through solar installers, electricians, and channel partners.

Identify and qualify new leads through outbound prospecting, networking, and inbound follow-up.

Provide structured feedback to product and marketing teams on objections and market trends.

Represent Aotea Energy at trade shows, community events, and installer partner days.

Essential Requirements

You must have:

Proven track record in a quota-carrying direct sales role with consistent pipeline and revenue target attainment.

Prior experience selling residential battery storage systems or grid-interactive energy products.

Understanding of dispatch optimisation software and spot-price or time-of-use energy arbitrage.

Ability to explain technical energy concepts — wholesale pricing, half-hourly dispatch, battery cycling — clearly to non-technical homeowners.

Disciplined CRM use and a data-driven approach to pipeline management.

Desirable Experience

Ideally, you also bring:

Familiarity with the NZ electricity market — spot pricing, retailers, and distributed energy resources (DERs).

An existing network of solar or electrical installation partners in the Auckland market.

Background in consultative or solution selling for higher-ticket residential products.

Experience with virtual sales and demo platforms.
