SEANZ recognises the distress and uncertainty facing customers affected by the liquidation of Solar Hub NZ, particularly those with incomplete installations, unresolved technical issues or concerns about warranties and ongoing system support.
As New Zealand’s solar industry association, SEANZ is working to identify ways the wider industry may assist affected customers. We invite customers to register their circumstances so we can better understand the nature and extent of outstanding issues and explore potential support options with manufacturers, distributors and suitably qualified installers.
It is important to understand what SEANZ can and cannot do. SEANZ is an industry association, not a regulator, insurer or guarantor of its members’ work. We cannot assume Solar Hub NZ’s contractual or financial obligations, guarantee compensation, or commit to providing free repairs or completing unfinished installations.
However, we may be able to help customers identify appropriate technical support, clarify manufacturer warranty arrangements, connect with qualified industry professionals and explore opportunities for coordinated assistance.
Registering your details does not guarantee that SEANZ can resolve your issue or provide financial assistance. It will, however, help us assess the scale of the situation, prioritise potential support initiatives and communicate relevant developments to affected customers.
We encourage all affected Solar Hub NZ customers to complete the registration form below.
Important: Registering with SEANZ does not constitute lodging a claim with Solar Hub NZ’s liquidator, nor does it replace any rights or remedies available under consumer protection legislation.
